Eindhoven's PSV director Hans van Breukelen assures that Ajax's goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen would be an ideal replacement for Manchester United's wanting to leave David De Gea.
The Spanish national team goalkeeper has shown interest in moving to Real Madrid, but the Red Devils' coach Louis van Gaal has not commented on the situation.
"If they are looking for a replacement for De Gea, then I think Cillessen is at the top of the list of candidates," the PSV director told Algemen Dagblad.
"It would be a logical step, as he is a goalkeeper capable of winning points. In my opinion, Cillessen is an excellent goalkeeper. He is similar to Edwin van der Sar and fits perfectly in the Premier League."
Meanwhile, De Gea has not yet played in Man United's preseason games and the coach confirmed that the 24-year-old player will not play on Wednesday due to injury, against San Jose Earthquakes.
