The Eindhoven footballers secured their country's champions title on Saturday in Europe for the first time, beating "Vitesse" 3-0.

Goals from Marko van Bommel, Ji-Sung Park, and Geraldo Sibon helped "PSV" increase their lead over the second-placed "Ajax" to 17 points. With only five rounds left in the championship, "PSV," as it has been unofficially clear for some time, became Dutch champions for the 18th time in the club's history.

This year, "PSV" in the Netherlands demonstrated an impressive game, playing only 13 out of 29 matches and scoring 76 goals. "PSV" still has a chance to win the Dutch Cup after a 9-year hiatus. In the final, they will face the footballers of "Willem II," who unexpectedly beat Amsterdam's "Ajax" club in the semi-finals.

Furthermore, "PSV," although considered absolute underdogs, are still playing in the UEFA Champions League. In the semi-finals of this tournament, they will meet the "AC Milan" club.

The victories of Eindhoven's "PSV" this season made the club's fans remember 1988 when, like now, led by Guus Hiddink, "PSV" footballers won the Dutch championship, the country's cup, and in the final of the Europa Cup, they defeated Lisbon's "Benfica" after an 11-meter penalty shootout.
