Mark van Bommel was fired from his coaching duties at PSV Eindhoven on Monday morning. The Dutchman, who took over as head coach of PSV in the summer of 2018, lost his job after the team's recent defeat to "Feyenoord" with a score of 1:3. M. van Bommel had a successful season last year - competing with Amsterdam's "Ajax" for the Dutch championship title until the final rounds. However, this season has been much gloomier - with only nine wins in 17 matches. PSV is currently in fourth place, trailing the leaders by a 10-point margin.
PSV has terminated the collaboration with head coach Mark van Bommel this morning. Mark, thank you for everything. We wish you all the best. - PSV (@PSV) December 16, 2019
