Today the schedule of the new season of the Spanish championship ("La Liga") was announced. Last year's champion "Barcelona" will face newcomer "Alaves" in the first round away game, while "Real" will travel to Cadiz to compete against the local team. The new season will kick off on August 27/28. The most interesting match of the first round should be the Basque derby between "Sociedad" and "Athletic". Equally intriguing is Betis' trip to "La Mestalla" to play against the "Valencia" team.
