Captain Carles Puyol downplayed the "El Clasico" episode on Monday when Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos roughly pushed him.
At the end of the match, the defender roughly tackled Lionel Messi, and in the ensuing scuffle, aggressively pushed Puyol and another Barcelona defender, Xavi, despite triumphing with them in the World Cup in the summer.
Ramos was sent off the field, and Barcelona celebrated an impressive 5-0 victory.
"Things like this happen in football," said Puyol. "I wanted to defend a teammate because it was a rough mistake.
Sometimes emotions reach a very high level, but what happens on the field, stays on the field. My relationship with Ramos is excellent, and we have already forgotten all about it."
And he added: "Real is our fiercest rival, but we have many friends on the opposing side."
