Captain Carles Puyol is included in the team for Saturday's Spanish championship match against "Real Sociedad."
The Spaniard has not played since June, when he underwent knee surgery.
"He is a very important player, capable of giving what others cannot," praised Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola. "Carles is a captain, an experienced player who has seen a lot."
Puyol's return will at least partially compensate for the gap left by the absence of another central defender, Gerard Pique.
