Patrick Vieira hopes for a warm reception from fans at the "Highbury" stadium during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final match in London, where he moved to Italy this summer.
The French national team member, who won three English league titles and four FA Cups with Arsenal and was the team captain, said that returning to the former stadium brings back a lot of emotions.
"When you play in a team for nine years, you cannot help but feel some emotions. There were many pleasant moments at that stadium," said P. Vieira on the Italian TV show "Domenica Sportiva."
"I hope for a warm welcome from the fans," added P. Vieira.
In terms of playing style, P. Vieira compared his former team to their main competitors, AC Milan, who are eight points behind Juventus.
"By the way they play, they should be compared to Milan," said the Frenchman. "They enjoy playing football and have some amazing players. Their game is more based on technique rather than physical strength... but we have what it takes to beat them."
P. Vieira also compared his former coach, Arsenal's Arsène Wenger, to Juventus' current coach, Fabio Capello.
"Wenger is more calm, while Capello is very expressive, but they both love football and have a similar vision of the game," said Vieira.
The 29-year-old Frenchman denied rumors that he would leave Juventus if F. Capello decided to move elsewhere, for example, to Real Madrid.
"If he leaves, it won't change anything for me. I like it here," Vieira stated.
