Former Arsenal footballer Patrick Vieira has stated that Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is better than he was at the same age.
Vieira also spent the 2005-2006 season with Juventus, but after just a year wearing the Bianconeri shirt, the Frenchman moved to the ranks of Inter Milan, their principal rivals.
The former player is convinced that last summer's addition to the Turin club, rising star of the French national team Paul Pogba, is better than Vieira himself.
"He is a better footballer than I was at that age. Only time will tell how things will unfold, but I am convinced that a successful career lies ahead for him," Vieira praised his compatriot.
"I believe he can become a great player for the French national team. On the field, he is calm and technical. Pogba strikes better than I did and scores significantly more goals. Paul is already making a positive impact on Juventus' game. When I was his age, I played only five matches in a season for Milan," the Frenchman recalled.
This season, Paul Pogba has played 24 matches for Juventus and scored 5 goals.
