Patrick Vieira mentioned his interest in a possible transfer to an English top club.
The French national team player expressed his desire to leave his current club after it was revealed in the summer that Juventus would be relegated to the lower Serie B league due to a corruption scandal.
Former Arsenal captain P. Vieira had hoped to move to Inter Milan, but negotiations between the clubs stalled.
The media reports that several clubs are actively interested in the 31-year-old player who has not yet chosen a club to represent in the upcoming season.
Manchester United head coach Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that he would like to add a few new players to the team, as they recently acquired Michael Carrick from Tottenham and Vieira has shown interest for quite some time.
The Frenchman said that a move to Manchester United is possible, after admitting his interest in and desire to move to Old Trafford.
"Every player would want to play for a club like Manchester United, which competes at the highest level," Vieira told The Times. "After spending 9 years at Arsenal, it could be tough. But everything can happen in football."
"I'm still not sure where I'll be playing next season, I'm still looking for a new club. It could be that everything will be clear in 48 hours and it's very important for me to decide now. I won't play for Juventus because they dropped to Serie B," the Frenchman said.
