"Manchester United” created one of the most impressive comebacks in football history on Thursday.

The "Red Devils” had a two-goal deficit against Lyon in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinal return match at home in the 114th minute of extra time, but in the remaining time not only equalized the score, but Harry Maguire managed to even snatch victory for his team and a spot in the semifinals with a header.

After the match, "Man Utd” coach Ruben Amorim was thrilled with the atmosphere and stated that before the game, he drew inspiration from the impressive "United” comeback in the 1999 Champions League final.

For us, this is a wonderful evening. We were trailing 2:4, even though we had a player advantage. It might seem that at that moment the game is over, but at Old Trafford, nothing is ever over until it’s over.

The noise in the stadium was the best I have ever heard. Some people collect memorabilia, jerseys, and I just want to forever remember that sound and the atmosphere in the stadium. I think the people who left the stadium after Lyon’s fourth goal are regretting it now.

I understand that we are not playing well and deserve criticism, but even in such a season, we can create something special,” said R. Amorim in an interview with BBC.
