Rubenas Amorimas put on an impressive performance in the recent UEFA Champions League match against the Lisbon club "Sporting."
Next week, the Portuguese manager taking the helm of "Manchester United" crushed the "Manchester City" team 4:1 on Tuesday.
After the great victory, R. Amorimas remained calm and paid tribute to "City" manager Pep Guardiola.
"Guardiola is currently a much better coach than me. Still, I believe in my new club. We will start from a poor position, but we will try to lift the club to a significantly higher level," R. Amorimas said after the victory.
Leading "Sporting" to victory on Tuesday was the season's dominant forward Viktor Gyokeres, who is already being linked with a potential move to "Man Utd." However, R. Amorimas himself confirmed that he will definitely not try to bring the Swede to England in January.
"Viktor must stay in Lisbon until the end of the season. Then we will see where his career goes," added the Portuguese.
R. Amorimas will once again face P. Guardiola and "Man City" in December, but this time with the "Man Utd" team. The manager is confident that that match will be completely different from Tuesday's game.
"When I am at the helm of "Man Utd," the matches against "Man City" will be completely different. I don't think anything significant can be taken from this match," R. Amorimas explained.
