The new "Everton" coach, Rafael Benitez, who has been in charge for a couple of weeks, was not warmly welcomed. This could be because he once coached the closest "Everton" rivals - the "Liverpool" team. He also called "Everton" a small club in an interview after a match. Benitez commented on all these past events as follows: "A lot depends on the context. That was a long time ago. You must fight for your club and that's what I'll do now. I will fight for the "Everton" team. I will try to do my best in every match. It's nice to see this club becoming bigger." The strategist also commented on the reaction among the closest people when he took over the reins of the "toffee": "To be honest, Everton fans are quite satisfied and support me, who are beside me. Even Liverpool fans understood that it was a good opportunity for me to return to the Premier League. Football is really emotional and everyone has their own opinion. For me, it's a challenge to perform well in the Premier League and prove to everyone that we are competitive. When the talks started and I said yes, I was ready. It's not something I'm afraid of. I want to win. I want to perform well," commented R. Benitez.
