"My time in Naples is over," - said the Spaniard associated with Madrid's "Real".
"I had a two-year contract and it will end after the match against Rome's "Lazio". I wanted to thank the team's president, the club, and all the fans.
"On Sunday, we will play very important matches and I want to finish the two-year job with a victory.
"It is always sad to leave a team when people have treated you well - that's exactly what I want to say about the atmosphere in the "Napoli" team."
The 55-year-old R. Benitez helped the team to take third place in the last "Serie A" championship and win the Italian Cup.
This year's results are more modest, but "Napoli" has not lost the chance to push "Lazio" out of the third position and secure a place in the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
