The head coach of Madrid's "Real" Rafael Benitez received questions about his future and praised the team for their demonstrated character after the draw in Valencia.
Yesterday "Real" had a tough match against "Valencia" away, and after a fierce battle, they ended up with a draw of 2-2. "Real" took the lead twice and had to play without the suspended Mateo Kovacic from the middle of the second half.
When asked by journalists to comment on his future in Madrid, R. Benitez replied: "You have the right to ask such a question, but I think there is no basis for that."
"The result is not good enough, but my team's players deserve more praise than anyone else. They gave all their efforts and tried their best, but unfortunately, they couldn't secure the win and three points.
When we were in the tenth position, we had to put in more effort, and the players did it. We had chances to both win and lose. It's a pity that we couldn't defend for a second after the second goal," added the "white" coach, whose future with each game becomes increasingly uncertain.
