R. Benitez remains a "Real" coach

President of Madrid's "Real" Florentino Perez held a press conference on Monday evening after the team's embarrassing defeat at home stadium to Barcelona over the weekend.

There were rumors that this could mean the end of Rafael Benitez's career at the "Real" team, but F. Perez stated that the Spaniard will remain in his position.

"We have complete confidence in him. He has just started working at the club - let's give him time and Rafa will achieve all the goals," he said.

After the 0:4 defeat, there were rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo told F. Perez that either he or the coach is leaving the club. There is increasing talk that C. Ronaldo will be sold to the "Manchester United" team.

It is also said that almost all "Real" players do not believe in R. Benitez and have a negative attitude towards the coach. Despite F. Perez's support, R. Benitez should not feel safe - his predecessor Carlo Ancelotti also received supportive words from the president, but in May he lost his job.
