R. Benitezas: "We must have a team that is competitive"

"Newcastle United" on Friday defeated "Leicester City" in the away game and almost secured a place in the "Premier" League for next season.

"Magpies" manager Rafael Benitez, whose contract with the club expires after this season, should stay at the helm of the team, but would like greater investments to have a competitive squad.

"I have fought for titles in various countries. We must have a team that is competitive.

This city and club have huge potential. I don't expect us to spend 200 million pounds, but we can make a few right moves to compete with mid-table teams.

You can be tactically well-prepared, but the other team will have one player who can turn everything upside down," R. Benitez said after the victory.

"Newcastle" currently sits in 13th place in the "Premier" League with 38 points, and is 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
