Riccardo Calafiori has officially become the new football player for London’s Arsenal club.

The 22-year-old defender will play for the "Gunners" until 2029.

Head coach Mikel Arteta did not hide his joy over the Italian's signing:

"R. Calafiori is a player with a great personality and character, and he has exceptional skills that will make our club even stronger as we aim to compete for the most serious titles – he is an impressive player."

This 22-year-old will be a key part of our team."

Riccardo Calafiori himself stated that it was very easy for him to make the decision:

"This is simply the best project for me for the next few years.

I talked a lot with the coach and the team management... They convinced me, although I already knew earlier that I wanted to play for Arsenal.

Competing in the English Premier League has been my dream since I was 12 years old."
