Former Madrid "Real" star Roberto Carlos almost has no doubts that Cristiano Ronaldo will be recognized as the best footballer of 2016.
Brazil jokingly speculated that maybe the sniper already has this trophy at home.
The current leader of the "royal" club triumphed with the Portuguese national team at the European Championship and led Zinedine Zidane's pupils to victory in the UEFA Champions League.
"I think Cristiano Ronaldo already has the 'Ballon d'Or' at home, but he just hasn't told anyone about it yet," Carlos said.
"He needed time to get back to himself after a knee injury, but from now on he will show the same Cristiano that we all know - the one who played in the ranks of Portugal."
"I wish him all the best."
Ronaldo had previously won the Golden Ball award in 2008, 2013, and 2014.
