"Monaco" club defenders Ricardo Carvalho and Eric Abidal will stay in the ranks of the French vice champions for another year.
Both footballers arrived at the team last summer and signed one-year contracts. Portuguese R. Carvalho previously played for "Real" Madrid, while E. Abidal wore Barcelona's colors.
It was rumored that this duo would hang up their football boots this summer, but the defenders extended their contracts with the "Monaco" team for another year.
Last season, 34-year-old E. Abidal played 29 matches in the team, while 36-year-old R. Carvalho took to the field 40 times.
