“Brighton” on Sunday was just a step away from the FA Cup final, when in the tournament semi-finals they lost to “Manchester United” after a penalty shootout.
Despite the loss, “Brighton” coach Roberto De Zerbi stated that his team played better and deserved to win.
“We deserved to win because we played better and created more chances near the opponent's goal. We only had problems in the middle of the second half, but for the rest of the time, we controlled the situation,” De Zerbi said after the match.
The Italian also revealed that his team's goal for this season is to qualify for the Europa League.
“Now we are focusing on our main goal for the season - qualifying for the Europa League. We deserve it, but football can be ruthless at times. We must be ready to fight in every match,” added the “Brighton” coach.
