“Man Utd” team legend Rio Ferdinand is amazed by the trends in the football market and the annually increasing player salaries and growing transfer fees.

According to the Englishman, now he would be the most expensive defender in the world without much competition.

“A transfer fee of 100 million US dollars is too small for me. In the current market, I would cost 170 million and should earn 400 thousand US dollars per week”, clarified R. Ferdinand.

In 2002, the athlete transferred from “Leeds United” to “Man Utd” for 30 million pounds sterling and then became the most expensive British player of all time and the planet's defender.

During 12 years spent in Manchester, he won 14 trophies, including six “Premier” league champion titles.
