R. Ferdinand on "Man Utd" decline: "600 million pounds are thrown down the drain"

Rio Ferdinand thinks that "Manchester United" with its current management and decisions is further sinking the club into abyss.

"Man Utd" on Wednesday evening in front of their spectators lost to the "Burnley" team. Spectators rose from their seats in the 84th minute - the home team players were forced to finish the match in an empty stadium.

Former team defender R. Ferdinand on "BT Sport" openly expressed disappointment with the current situation of the team.

"You say that 600 million pounds have been spent on the current squad? I really don't see that," said R. Ferdinand. "I don't see anything to believe that the club is laying the foundations for the future."

"I sit here and feel ashamed of what is happening to this club. I am disappointed not only by today's team performance, but in general by what is happening and what awaits in the future. I don't see that the right path is being taken and clear goals are being pursued.

Perhaps in the next few years a competitive squad can be assembled, but over the past seven years money has been wasted."

"Kids simply won't want to wear 'Man Utd' jerseys and come support the team. Now fans leave the stands in the 84th minute and it is a hopeless situation. People in the club need to look at this and finally make changes, create a plan that others can trust and see that the right path is being taken," added the former footballer.
