"Liverpool" legend Robbie Fowler urged the rising stars of the club to come together and show their worth after Raheem Sterling's departure.
The Englishman was considered the man around whom the team had to be built for future successes after Luis Suarez's departure, but the forward spread his wings to "Manchester City" for 65 million euros.
According to Fowler, "Liverpool" must simply accept this and move forward.
"Raheem Sterling is a very good player, but it was his decision," - the Merseyside club legend told Omnisport.
"I think the club respected him, but that's football. It was the same when we lost an incredible player like Luis Suarez, and this year we lost Raheem Sterling."
"Now it all depends on how the young footballers will reconcile themselves with Raheem Sterling's decision and manage to forget about him. Let's hope that the new players will shine even more."
