“Al Nassr” team coach Rudi Garcia made a joke that may not be well received by the club's new striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
On New Year's Eve, just before the official announcement of the contract with the famous Portuguese, the strategist commented on the ongoing rumors during a press conference.
“Initially, I wanted to bring Lionel Messi from Doha,” he joked, before bursting into laughter.
Internet users immediately recalled Ronaldo's words from a controversial P. Morgano show: “If the coach doesn't respect me, I don't respect him.”
The 37-year-old veteran could play his first match for the new team next Thursday, when "Al Nassr" will face the "Al Taee" team.
