„Roma“ coach Rudi Garcia believes that his players are enjoying the match against the "Manchester City" underdogs status and can play successfully today.
Roma started the UEFA Champions League tournament two weeks ago by defeating Moscow's „CSKA“ 5-1, but tonight they will face a much tougher challenge at the „Etihad“ stadium.
The Italian team's strategist is not running away from the challenge and believes that "Roma" can definitely compete with the English champions.
„We already have three points, we started the tournament well and we will be able to play without pressure,“ said Garcia.
„As soon as the draw was made, everyone immediately thought we would lose at the Etihad. So, in this match, we can only win.“
„Are we the third strongest team in the group? Do not forget that we were in the fourth pot during the draw, not the third. This means that we are underdogs, as we will face the strongest teams from England and Germany,“ he said.
The vice-champion of Serie A also added that this label will only help his players demonstrate all their abilities. Additionally, Garcia said that preparing for Champions League matches is the easiest because footballers do not need extra motivation.
