Birmingham's "Aston Villa" coach Remi Garde claims he will not leave the club in trouble and will not step down from his position even if they drop to the second division.
Currently, "Villa" is in last place in the Premier League, and since his arrival, the Frenchman has not managed to secure a single victory in eight matches.
Garde replaced Tim Sherwood and signed a three-and-a-half-year contract in November, but the chance of remaining among the top twenty English teams is now smaller than ever - the team is 11 points away from safety.
If "Villa" fails to save themselves, they would play in the Championship for the first time since 1987.
When asked at a press conference if he would stay at the helm if they were relegated, Garde replied: "Yes."
"I feel very good. Some difficulties and problems exist in every football club," he added.
"Of course, I thought we would achieve victory sooner, but I knew that coming to a club that lost nine times in the first eleven games would not bode well. If it did, I wouldn't have taken on this job."
"I know it will be difficult, but I am full of belief in what we can achieve with this club."
