Wales national team coach Ryan Giggs, who played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo for many years, believes that Gareth Bale can successfully replace the Portuguese at Real Madrid.
Life in Madrid without C. Ronaldo has been great so far for both G. Bale and Karim Benzema - they both score their goals in almost every match, although the beginning of the season was marred by a loss to Atletico in the Super Cup.
R. Giggs understands that replacing a goal-scoring machine like C. Ronaldo is difficult, but G. Bale has already proven his worth by scoring crucial goals in important moments.
"When someone like Cristiano leaves the club, there are always doubts about who will replace him and achieve those incredible numbers. His departure left a huge gap, but Gareth has been at the club for a long time and is an experienced player," commented the legendary footballer.
"Every year, a huge pressure falls on Gareth's shoulders, but he handles it wonderfully. These years will be different, as now all focus will be on the player who can replace Ronaldo.
Nevertheless, Gareth has already shown his mastery by scoring goals in crucial matches. He can handle any pressure," added Giggs, who is now working as a coach.
