On Friday, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Green announced on his social network profile that he is ending his professional career.
The 39-year-old Englishman moved to Chelsea from Huddersfield last summer and won the Europa League with the London club. However, R. Green did not play a single minute for the "aristocrats" this season.
During his 23-year professional career, the goalkeeper played for Norwich, West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds, Huddersfield, and Chelsea teams.
In the Premier League, the Englishman played a total of 267 matches throughout his career.
R. Green also played 12 matches for the England national team and participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
