Irish football legend Robbie Keane has recently joined Steven Gerrard, who announced the end of his career at Los Angeles Galaxy.
The forward has scored more than 100 goals in his six seasons on the West Coast and led his team to MLS gold three times.
Interestingly, the 36-year-old veteran has no plans to retire just yet.
"I can confirm that after five fantastic years I will be leaving LA Galaxy," Keane said. "Being part of such a great club's history has been a privilege and I leave with memories that will stay with me forever."
"Three MLS Cups, over 100 goals for the club, and the 2014 MVP title are achievements that I will remember with pride. It has been an incredible experience, and I have truly enjoyed every minute of my time at LA Galaxy."
"However, I believe now is the right time for a new challenge and I am ready to start a new chapter in my playing career."
The striker added that despite his age, he feels great and that retiring from the Irish national team will help him focus on playing for the club.
