Over the weekend, the "Everton" team, which started with a victory in the English "Premier" league, will soon receive a solid addition - the team should officially introduce newcomer Gylfi Sigurdsson in the near future.
Talks about the transfer of the Icelandic player between "Swansea" and "Everton" started a long time ago, but now the negotiations are already finished, and the player recently successfully passed a medical examination. The rumors were confirmed in today's press conference by "Everton" strategist Ronald Koeman.
"I have already seen him in a blue outfit, but I still don't know if all the necessary documents for the transfer have been sorted out," revealed R. Koeman.
It is believed that "Everton" will pay a transfer fee of up to 45 million pounds for the 27-year-old midfielder. If this information is confirmed, "Swansea" will receive five times more money than they paid to acquire this player: in the summer of 2014, they paid only 9 million pounds to the "Tottenham Hotspur" team for this midfielder.
Last season, G. Sigurdsson had his most productive season in the "Premier" league. The Iceland player did not miss a single game and directly contributed to 22 team goals: he scored 9 goals himself, and his teammates scored 13 goals after his assists.
