Dutch national team coach Ronald Koeman is convinced that Ajax talent Matthijs de Ligt will become the best player in his position in the future.
The 19-year-old Ajax captain has a bright future ahead of him. It is already quite clear that the defender will leave Ajax after the season and join a much stronger team.
"Barcelona," Turin's "Juventus," Munich's "Bayern," and other clubs are interested in his services, but the chase for the Dutchman is not easy - Mino Raiola is already demanding a 12 million euro annual salary.
"De Ligt and Frenkie de Jong are special for various reasons," Koeman told Catalonia Radio.
"De Ligt is younger - he is 19 years old, and plays a more important position - center-back. He is the captain of Ajax and grown up in this club. You can call it the 'Barca' school, because he is technically and tactically strong.
"In two years, he will become the best central defender on the planet," Koeman expressed confidence in the young player.
