Long-time Munich "Bayern" forward Robert Lewandowski will soon extend his contract with the club.
One of the team leaders Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that the negotiations are on the right track and "Bayern" fans will soon receive good news.
"The negotiations are not yet completely finished, but they are well advanced. Robert feels very comfortable being in the 'Bayern' club," said Rummenigge.
"He can still give a lot to this club. Just look at his body - he is a player who can still play at a high level for many more years," - the German did not spare praise for his team's star.
When asked about competition in the Polish position, K-H. Rummenigge immediately rejected Mario Mandžukić's candidacy, who is associated with a departure from Juventus.
"We have no plans regarding this matter," - the "Bayern" leader briefly answered.
