There are ongoing discussions in the Spanish press that Madrid's "Real" and Robert Lewandowski have taken the first step towards an agreement.
As reported by one of the capital's newspapers "AS," over the weekend, a Polish agent was spotted in the VIP box at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium during the "Real" match against "Getafe," where he discussed possible contract terms for his client in Madrid with the club's officials.
However, regardless of any agreement reached between the player and "Real," the Munich "Bayern" club has a contract with the forward until 2019, and the Spanish vice-champions will have to pay a substantial amount if they want to acquire him. It is reported that Bayern rejected the first offer for R. Lewandowski.
Additionally, "AS" added that the 27-year-old player felt a great disappointment after not being included in the final list of nominees for the "Golden Ball" awards. According to the source mentioned, the Pole believes that playing in Madrid alongside players like Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo could help him win the prestigious award.
This season, R. Lewandowski has shown incredible form and scored 20 goals in 22 games.
