R. Lewandowski: "Easier to Win the 'Golden Ball' at 'Barcelona' Club" © Reuters

The attacker Robert Lewandowski hopes that his decision made last summer will allow his dream to come true. The 34-year-old Pole aims to win the "Golden Ball", but so far his achievements at his former club Bayern Munich did not guarantee the prestigious prize. "I know that players in the Barcelona team usually win the 'Golden Ball'. I think now this path will be shorter for me than with the Bayern team," clarified the Pole. This year he once again made it among the top 30 finalists, but experts believe that the award could go to Real Madrid's representative Karim Benzema. Currently, R. Lewandowski is preparing with the Polish national team to compete in the Nations League matches against the Netherlands (September 23) and Wales (September 26).
