Robertas Lewandowski recently extended his contract with Bayern Munich and thus put an end to all speculation about a possible departure.
Last summer, the German champions bid farewell to veterans Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, and the way the club and fans said goodbye to them impressed the Polish striker himself.
The 31-year-old striker, speaking to "Sport1," said he also dreams of receiving such a farewell from the Munich team someday.
"I dream of a farewell like Ribery and Robben had. I'm not thinking about leaving yet, but I almost shed tears when they said goodbye to these players.
It was a special moment not only for Ribery and Robben, but for the whole team. To receive such a farewell is something unbelievable," said R. Lewandowski.
The striker also praised the club's management for their work in the summer transfer market.
"The people responsible for the team's composition did a great job. We can be happy that we have been strengthened by truly talented footballers," added the Polish player.
