The defending champions Bayern Munich faced Werder Bremen in an away game. The Bavarians had difficulties, but Robert Lewandowski tried his best to ensure that the champions take the victory from Bremen.
In the first half, Bayern pressured their opponents, but neither team was able to score. Robert Lewandowski broke through Werder's defense in the 72nd minute, and just three minutes later he sealed the victory.
Bayern now has two wins out of two possible.
In other matches, Bayer Leverkusen drew with Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg defeated Eintracht, Augsburg and Gladbach shared points, and Stuttgart beat Mainz.
In the last match, Borussia Dortmund defeated Hertha Berlin 2-0. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nuri Sahin led the winners to victory.
