German champion Bayern Munich started the season unsuccessfully and last weekend had to admit the superiority of Borussia Dortmund's footballers in the Supercup match.
This summer, Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, and James Rodriguez, who returned to Real, left the Bayern team. One of the team's leaders, Robert Lewandowski, is convinced that Bayern must acquire new players by the end of the transfer window.
"I think we need three new players. We lost three attacking players: Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, and James Rodriguez, but so far we do not have a suitable replacement for them," said the experienced Pole in an interview with Bild.
Manchester City's winger Leroy Sane has been linked with a move to Bayern all summer, but R. Lewandowski is convinced that just this transfer would not be enough.
"Even if Sane arrives, we will need another winger. Perhaps we should also consider acquiring a defensive midfielder and a forward.
If we want to get through the season with just 13-14 experienced players, we will face many difficulties. We are facing 50 or even 60 matches per season.
For now, we have too few players for such a long season, and the club leaders definitely know what my opinion is about this situation," added the Pole.
