Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who demonstrates phenomenal form this season, claims that he has not yet reached the peak of his career.
The 31-year-old Polish player has scored 23 goals in 18 matches for the Bavarians this season and has no equals in terms of productivity in the strongest European championships.
As the player himself claims, he does not feel that he has already crossed the third decade.
"I worked very hard on the form that I can now demonstrate," the Pole said in an interview with "Bild." - "I feel fantastic, and my body is also in good condition."
"It is important to keep this in mind and not start resting earlier than needed. I want to become even better. I understand that I can squeeze out more and when I need to stop myself.
"Although I am 31 on paper, I don't feel it myself. The best period of my career is just beginning, and I hope it will last for at least another year," Lewandowski said.
