In mid-May, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury, finally received good news.
The Englishman, who impressed in the starting eleven of London's "Chelsea" team last season, is expected to join the team in the near future. It is believed that the defender is already back on the training field after the international break.
As the player revealed in his interview, coming to terms with the injury, which occurred just before the UEFA Europa League final, was difficult.
"I had to learn to walk again," shared R. Loftus-Cheek with bitter experience. "When the cast was removed, I could barely lift my foot."
"The time when I had to be without football passed quite slowly. I couldn't exercise, so all I did was stay at home and play Xbox video games.
Now, as I am getting closer to returning, the days are much more beautiful. I am excited about the opportunity to go back on the field, be in the gym, and push myself," added the player.
Last season, the 23-year-old player scored 10 goals and made five assists in 40 matches played.
