Romelu Lukaku will etch his name into the history of the Premier League if he scores at least one goal in the upcoming Saturday match against Aston Villa.
Aston Villa, who have been struggling in matches, will try to achieve their first victory under the guidance of new coach Remi Garde, while the Belgian national team player has scored a goal in the last three matches against future opponents. So Lukaku, who has scored 49 goals in the Premier League so far, could soon join an impressive group of players.
Only four players - Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Wayne Rooney, and Cristiano Ronaldo - have scored 50 or more goals in the Premier League before turning 23.
Even if Lukaku fails to make an impact in the upcoming matches, he will have enough time to join this group. The striker will only turn 23 on May 13, so the Belgian will have until the 37th round of the competition to enter this exclusive list.
This season, Everton's striker Lukaku has been in excellent form and has already scored seven times in twelve matches.
