Last summer, Romelu Lukaku, who moved from "Manchester United" to Milan's "Inter" team, is currently demonstrating a stable performance in Italy and has already scored 9 goals in 12 matches in the "Serie A" championship.
However, the Belgian had to face an unpleasant situation in September, when during a match against "Cagliari" he was subjected to racist insults.
R. Lukaku revealed that before moving to Italy, he knew that he would have to deal with racism at some point. The Belgian is also convinced that it is necessary to fight against it in more effective ways.
"I knew that I would have to deal with racism in Italy. I was prepared for it, because before coming to 'Inter' I talked to friends who played in Italy, and they warned me.
The match against 'Cagliari' was really tough. Both 'Serie A' and UEFA must fight against racism more closely.
UEFA must do something. They cannot just declare that they are fighting against racism but not take any specific actions. It's just not logical," R. Lukaku told journalists.
Despite this, the Belgian revealed that he feels happy in Italy.
"I really like it in Italy. People on the street are very nice to me, and my family also likes it here. That's what matters the most," added the "Inter" forward.
