The forward Romelu Lukaku, who belongs to London's "Chelsea" club, told the Dutch publication HLN that the Saudi Arabian league will become increasingly popular among players:
"Remember my words, known to the strongest clubs in Europe: Saudi Arabia is coming.
Saudi Arabia will not stop me. The level here will only rise. It will rise to a much higher level than people think.
More and more footballers will want to move there, because Saudi Arabia will become more and more competitive."
Last year was very intense, and for two days I weighed: should I go there, should I not go there. In the end, I was a bit scared... But I really believe that the level of the Saudi Arabian league will be very high.
You can already see this in Formula 1, golf, and boxing.
During the last season, the 31-year-old Belgian spent on loan at "Roma" club and played 47 matches, scoring 21 goals.
