Romelu Lukaku insists that as soon as he found out about the offer from Manchester United, he didn't hesitate for long.
The striker recently underwent a medical examination and after agreeing with Liverpool's Everton on a transfer fee of £75 million, he will soon become a full-fledged member of the "Red Devils."
The 24-year-old footballer, speaking to ESPN about his new career move, did not hide his joy and said it was his childhood dream.
"This is the biggest club in the world," Lukaku said. "It is a club that is hungry to win the league again, to dominate the world again, and it is exactly the opportunity I wanted since childhood."
"When they started calling, I didn't need to think twice. So, I'm really happy and hope to be part of their history."
"Who could say 'no' to the biggest club in the world? The best stadium in England, the best fans. It's a perfect opportunity. I always said I wanted to represent a team that fights for every possible trophy."
"I think Manchester United wants to be a dominant force, and if we look at history, it certainly tells enough. Becoming part of such a club is what I really wanted, and I thank them for giving me the opportunity. Now is the time to work harder than ever before, and I am ready for it."
Last season, Lukaku scored 25 goals and made six assists in 37 Premier League matches.
