"Sky Sports" reports that 26-year-old Algerian football star Riyad Mahrez has asked to be sold by "Leicester City" club.
R. Mahrez's future within the "Foxes" ranks has not been clear for the past two seasons. This season, the right winger has been in excellent form and, receiving interest from a "Premier League" giant, he does not want to miss one of his last chances.
According to the mentioned source, upon hearing of "Manchester City" club's desire to acquire him, R. Mahrez informed the Leicester team that he would like to be sold.
Last summer, "Leicester" promised the footballer that if he stays in the team until January, he will be given the chance to leave, if he wishes to do so.
According to various sources, the "Cityzens" are offering 65 million euros for R. Mahrez, who has scored nine goals in over 27 matches this season.
