At the end of January, Riyad Mahrez, who had separated from Leicester City and wanted to move to Manchester City, admits that he regrets such a decision.
The footballer, who revealed that hackers recently "hacked" his Facebook account and posted false information about the end of his career, said that he behaved inappropriately at the end of the transfer window, but now he is trying to forget these difficulties.
"I left the club because I needed time to think everything through - it was a difficult situation. Moving to Manchester City would be nice for all players, but that's in the past. If we were to talk about it, it would feel like going back to that time, and I want to move forward and do what's best for my team.
Undoubtedly, I regret it now, but at that time I thought it was the best decision. Although it was tough, I always kept in touch with the club. And the team accepted it all very well. When the whole club and all my teammates supported me, it made everything much easier and returning to the club was not difficult," Mahrez said in an interview with Sky Sports.
In early February, after a couple of weeks break, the footballer returned to the team and scored a goal against Bournemouth last weekend.
