Roberto Mancini recently hinted in an interview with Milano's "Inter" television that he may take over as the coach of this club in the near future.
Previously, as a coach, the Italian won three "Serie A" titles, two Italian Cups, and two Super Cups in a row. Then the strategist stood at the helm of "Manchester City" and later - at "Galatasaray" in Istanbul.
"Nerazzurri" started the season unsuccessfully so far, so the current team leader, Walter Mazzarri, is feeling increasing pressure. Nevertheless, Mancini, currently unemployed, says that "Inter" is in good hands.
"I miss work, but everything else is fine," - the Italian told MilanInterTV. "Do I want to return to it? Probably, next season. We will see later this year."
"I am glad that the Inter fans remember my time spent at the club positively. We won many trophies and it was a great experience," Mancini mentioned that he would consider an offer to return.
"Next year, however, I do not know what may happen. If I were offered to become the manager of this club in the summer, I cannot say what my response would be. The team has a good coach," he said.
The specialist also stated that his former club has excellent players and hopes that they will be able to fight for a place in the UEFA Champions League.
When asked if his former assistant, now coaching Genoa's "Sampdoria" in third place in "Serie A", Sinisa Mihajlovic, would be a good fit to lead "Inter", the former "Man City" coach said he believes the rival's coach is ready for that.
