“Inter” coach Roberto Mancini believes that his protege Mauro Icardi has all the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world.
So far this season, the Argentine has shown excellent form, scoring 10 goals in 19 “Serie A” matches. However, the striker has also made headlines in the media multiple times for his behavior off the pitch.
“Mauro is very talented and has a lot of potential for improvement. Whether he becomes a star fully depends on himself,” Mancini told Italia 1.
“If he wants to be a top-class striker, he must continue to work hard.”
“Controversial behavior off the pitch? The most important thing is that he performs well on the pitch itself.”
Additionally, the “Inter” strategist said he believes that even though the Milanese players are currently only in ninth place in the Italian championship, third place is a possible achievement.
