Former Everton club strategist Roberto Martinez will remain with the Belgian national team for a longer period.
Before the start of the World Cup, R. Martinez extended his contract with the Belgian national team for two years.
R. Martinez took over the Belgian national team in 2016 after the European Championship. In the qualifiers for the World Cup, the Belgian national team won nine games and played one match drawn.
According to the new agreement, the strategist will work until 2020, until the qualification for the European Championship is completed.
R. Martinez's assistants Graeme Jones and Richard Evans also extended their contracts for two years.
Belgium will compete in Group G of the World Cup against Panama, Tunisia, and England.
