Belgium national team coach Roberto Martinez said that the deal with Milan's Inter has greatly lifted the spirits of the main striker of the national team Romelu Lukaku.
The 26-year-old footballer, after a whole summer of negotiations, finally left Manchester United and went to Italy.
R. Lukaku immediately expressed his desire to leave the "Red Devils" after the season, but he quickly couldn't change his career path due to the requested sum by Man Utd.
"I see him so happy and free for the first time," Roberto Martinez said at a press conference.
"Throughout all the national team camps where Lukaku was present, I have never seen him so focused, happy, and eagerly waiting for a new challenge. I think he is ready to face one of the biggest challenges of his career at Inter. Football is his whole life, he lives for goals and being effective both in the national team and in the club," Roberto Martinez spared no kind words for his protégé.
