"Everton" coach Roberto Martinez categorically denied the rumors spread by "The Sun" that the player John Stones had handed in a formal transfer request to the club.
This summer, the young defender received several offers from "Chelsea", but Liverpool rejected all of them.

When asked if J. Stones had submitted a formal request to be sold, R. Martinez responded: "No, absolutely not."
"I think the situation will remain the same. This (the possible sale of J. Stones - ed.) is one of the hottest topics of this summer, highlighted almost every day."
"However, we are concentrating on football and the match against 'Manchester City' this weekend. It is natural and even positive that other clubs are interested in our players."
"It's not something that should concern us greatly. We are only interested in the match against the league leaders in just 48 hours."
